Workshop – Lesbian relationships: Tijana Popivoda (SRB) and Dragana Vujinović (SRB)
At the workshop we will discuss our emotional expectations in partner relationships, conflicts, joy and happiness. We will talk about how internalized lesbofobia affects our relationships, about different stages of relationships and about break-ups as a possibility for personal growth.

The workshop on lesbian partner relationships is intended for lesbians, queer and trans women with the experience of same-sex female partnership.

Workshop participants will help build the rules of trust and active listening, as that is the only way to create a safe space for exposing our own experiences in connection to the chosen topic. At the end of the workshop, we will summarize our topics in the context of social/patriarchal system (personal is political), as well as in the context of the principles of emotional literacy to help us learn about ourselves, others and the society in which we live. These experiential workshops are based on the principles of feminist consciousness raising groups. Duration: 1,5-3h.

Tijana Popivoda is a radical feminist lesbian. She has been working in Autonomni ženski centar in Belgrade as a feminist counselor for women who have experienced male violence. At Novosadska lezbejska organizacija NLO and Belgrade’s Konsultacije za lezbejke she has been working as a counsellor for lesbians for five years now. She has been active in the feminist movement, the movement against the violence against women, the movements against war, fascism and lesbofobia.

Dragana Vujinović is a feminist lesbian. For more than 15 years, she has been, in Autonomni ženski centar Belgrade, organizing a self-help group for women who have experienced male violence. Since 1995, she has been an activist of Labris, the Belgrade group for lesbian human rights. She was also the participant of the historic Prvi lezbični teden (Lesbian first week) which took place in Pohorje in 1997.
