A program of feminist and queer short films and short queer-feminist p**n and erotic films

For 25 years, the international feminist and queer festival Rdeče zora has been creating spaces, possibilities, and practices for the support, presentation, and promotion of low-budget feminist and queer art in Ljubljana. The credo of the festival is that the freedom of creative expression and presentation of socio-critical thinking and active creative engagement belongs to all of us and should not be determined by class, gender, race, age, origin, social status, or any other personal and social circumstances.

A program of feminist and queer short films as a rebellion and reflection of traditional film images, which explores the question of pleasure through alternative erotica and pornography. With this film program, we want to question the boundaries of our images and present not only our struggles but also moments of happiness, hope, and deep connection that we live in our communities. The film selection takes us on an incredible trip, starting with a striking mix of harsh criticism and imaginative humor (She’s the Protagonist). It continues with a short story about the socially awkward, self-conscious Boob, followed by the world premiere of an absurd comedy about the dilemmas of a lesbian monogamous couple (Lesbophilia). In a dreamlike atmosphere, the films in the second half of the set encourage us to think about the de-re-construction of (sexual) identity and the power of passion and sensuality.

9 – 9:40 pm – Announcement and screening of the best fem-queer p**n and erotic films, awarded by the public
