Club Dawns: Travis or Alice, Katron, Nastynancy, and Pixel Bambi

The Red Dawns club night will take place through fast rhythms, with mapped video projections, until the morning.

Travis or Alice (Alisa Mullen), is a Ukrainian DJ and producer currently based in Berlin. As a regular at the System Error label and events, Travis has carved out a niche with her unique style, seamlessly blending various genres. Her sets span from breaks, techno, and trance to glitch hop and minimal, showcasing a versatile range. Amidst this diversity, her undeniable love for bass music shines through, resulting in unexpected yet harmonious combinations that captivate audiences.

Known for her surprises behind the decks, Alice has garnered recognition as an artist worth listening to. Her mix for Trommel was featured in RA’s Mix Of The Day, and she has been acknowledged in DJMag’s “Artists You Need to Hear.” Despite her relatively short time as a DJ, Alice brings a wealth of experience from her background in dance culture. Previously, she managed her own artists’ agency in Kyiv, assisted with PR for clubs like “Closer,” and contributed to various electronic projects. Travis has also been involved in education, offering free lectures for DJs on effective communication and writing articles for international media.

Currently pursuing studies at the “Catalyst” Institute in Berlin’s Electronic Music and Studio Production course, Alisa has already made her mark with “No Witnesses,” a track featured in the third compilation of the “Nasty Enterprises” label by NKK.
Describing herself as a music nerd, Travis sees mixing tracks and music production as a quest for the perfect formula, blending musical enlightenment, dance, and joy. Her dedication to pushing boundaries and creating immersive sonic experiences solidifies her status as a promising talent in the global electronic music scene.

Kathron started her creative journey in 2018 in the Cooltura Electronica collective. She draws a selection of music from labels such as Token, Mote Evolver, Blue Print, Illegal Alien Records, etc., and she also sharpens her eardrums as a sound technician at Radio Študent. In her sets, she interweaves abstract heavy marches and hypnotic melodies, which develops into a unique relationship of rough and emotional experience.

Nastynancy is a bass DJ and a member of the collective Nimaš Izbire. First of all, she is attracted to the faster rhythms of various breaks, footwork and ghettotech, but she also reaches out to the electro tradition. As a rule, energetic sets seek the intersection between manic nostalgia and rhythmic chaos.

Beti Frim aka Pixel Bambi is a visual artist who combines digital and analog media in search of different ways of coexistence. As a designer and VJ, she works with the collectives Ustanova and Nimaš izbire. In addition, she produced animations for the London publishing house Be More Childish, and also made animations for Slovenian groups such as Masaž and mala roza muca, with whom she collaborates in both the musical and the visual expression.
