Wednesday, 10.3., at 19:00 Online Poetry-music performance In Slovenian Free entry – recommended voluntary contribution
IGNOR x Red Dawns IGNOR is participating in this year’s Red Dawns festival. A tough, strong-willed bear who does her own thing and doesn’t let herself be led by the snout, ever. She has sharp eyesight and smell, and always sharp claws. Her words are weighty, irreplaceable and above all indisputable. She knows what she’s talking about and she knows what she wants. Get to know her better. The poets that will be featured at this poetry event are Nežka Struc, Andreja Štepec, Aja Zamolo, Nela Poberžnik, Urša Majcen and Ana Pepelnik.
Poetry readings will be accompanied by the Ljubljana based audio-visual duo balans (Kristin Čona and Andrej Pervanje, joined by Jan Kmet) with their touch of post-pop punk. In recent years, the band has been complementing its sympathetically whimsical musical expression with personal lyrics and sharp whistles, and the banality of their music is also connected with a strong visual component. The duo was joined four years ago by a third member, the contemporary artist Alessandro Di Giampietro, who takes care of the band’s entire visual aesthetics with his unique works of art. Last year, drummer Jan Kmet joined them on stage with the desire to further enrich their live performance.
