THE PRESENTATION OF THE NEW EDITION OF THE GENDER-APOKALIPSA JOURNAL, DEDICATED TO FEMINIST SCIENCE FICTION LITERATURE
Gender issues of the journal Apokalipsa, otherwise a literary and philosophical journal, are edited by Stanislava Repar, and are dealing with the issues of gender in literature specifically and in the field of humanities in general. The present issue (192) is dedicated to feminist and female-authored Anglo-American science fiction literature. Rather by coincidence, the present issue of the journal came out at the time of Alice Bradley Sheldon’s (1915-1987), an acclaimed American SF writer, 100th birth anniversary. At the presentation, the co-editors and translators of the issue, Tea Hvala and Ana Makuc, will present the issue and read excerpts of the published texts. It will be possible to purchase the journal on site.

SHE SAID DESTROY! (IT) CONCERT
She Said Destroy! is a noise-pop duo project which began in November 2010 in Bologna, IT. Despite the two different musical influences, Stefania (bass and vocals) and Emy (drum and backing vocals) develop their sound by mixing the most light-hearted pop and lo-fi roots. Bounded by a genuine mood, SSD! has found their way thanks to a lucky combination of biting sounds and pop melodies, setting out from a schizophrenic variety of genres.
They have released two EPs, Conflicting Landscapes (2012) and Gummy Ruins (2013), a limited edition tape Kombo (2014) and a split with the band Signorine Taytituc (October 2015, in collaboration with Stay Home Records and Toten Schwan Records), everything self-produced and DIY.
With these albums SSD! have performed all around Northern Italy and in Spain, France, Austria, Germany and Slovenia.
MUSIC: SECRET LOVER (SLO)
Synthpop, electropunk electroclash, post-punk, new/dark/cold wave and much more.
THE SCREENING OF FEMINIST AND QUEER PORNOGRAPHIC FILMS
After continuous disappointments brought on by mainstream pornography, which takes advantage of actors on one hand and puts heteronormative (and misogynist, sexist) relations at the forefront on the other, one was forced to rely on oneself and develop the type of pornography that includes our interests as well. This is why we present to you a short selection of feminist and queer pornographic films, just to have a taste of them.
We will be collecting voluntary contributions for the execution of the next edition of the festival which will take place between 4th and 8th March 2016!
