The last event of the 2021 Red Cycle, organised by the collective of the international feminist and queer festival Red Dawns will be the performance ImproŠke: Voices. The improvised full-feature Voices touches on the theme of inner voices and the different ways in which they manifest themselves to the outside world. You are cordially invited!
About the Play The paly Voices (Glasovi) was born out of the loneliness of quarantine. Most of the stage characters and the real people have been isolated lately, and we have been accompanied by a variety of voices: those from the news, friends and friends at a distance, voices of our own emotions and thoughts, as well as screams and silence that spread between them. Every now and then we wondered about the consents and proclamations within ourselves and among ourselves and with the world. Are we safe, free, do we even have each other? Do we exist as whole and unified persons? Who can hear us? Do our voices contradict each other? Can we achieve anything else together? Inner voices are a part of us all, scaring, encouraging, scolding and admonishing us. They come in different forms, at different times, sometimes they are our friends, again other times our enemies. People find a variety of ways to deal with their own voices: listen to them, suppress them, overhear them, hug them. Creators are looking for ways to express inner voices, how to respond to the voices of others, how to seek harmony or avoid it. We are also interested in what the decision to place your vote against another brings with it. The team of ImproŠke and the team of the international feminist and queer festival Red Dawns reserve the right to change the program. ******************************* About the ImproŠke team ImproŠke is an open, non-hierarchically organized group of improvisers, operating under the auspices of the Slovenian Impro Association. Within the group, they research gender issues and undertake various projects where they play with subversion. ImproŠke represents to members a safe community in which they can explore, develop, test their limits and seek different forms of expression through improvised performance. The members met in 2014 at an inspiring workshop on gender in theatrical improvisation, connected and activated, and since then have performed several productions, performed at festivals like Red Dawns, Igraj se z mano, Goli oder, Sindikat odklonskih entitet, Nights at ŠKUCu, Rdeči revirji, amongst others. ******************************* Event on Facebook ******************************* Info Organisation: 22.
