This ever-changing environment is catapulting us to the moment of finding a puzzling fossil and feeling the whole world’s weight (www?) upon us. There is no need for us regular mortals to be special scientists in order to dissect this modern relict within an accelerated state of necessity to become masters of all transmissions and technologies.

Federico Luz’ video and music performance ‘Da geht die Sonne unter!’ for Red Daws 2021 sheds light on three contemporary situations of techno-sorcery. Several sound pieces are bended in attempt to approach this riddle of our times.

The author was born in 1991 in Montvideo (UY), working with and around fashion and sound as open areas. In Brussels (BE), he is currently exploring the inner materiality of fashion within the broader context of “wearology,” which can be understood as an analogy of fashion and voice / sound with a specific focus on creativity.
