The story or the beginning of creating noise began at so-called Noise Tea Parties that started as a part of the initiative ČIPke (by Saša Spačal and Ida Hiršenfelder) in January 2016. The attendees of Tea Parties decided to connect as an experimental noise group Kikimore, which is currently consisting of Kati Flowerfields, Staša Guček, Sara Mlakar, Nina Orlič, Sara Pegam in Barbara Poček, because of enthusiasm for musical improvisation and soldering of analogue musical instruments. The group is constantly evolving and upgrading, and open to accept new ‘noise’ female enthusiasts.
They mostly use analogue musical instruments that they make according to DIY/DIWO principles, and they also attend different workshops. They ‘make noise’ every Monday in Rampa, at Kersnikova 4; practices are open to all who would like to become a part of the ‘noise’. The process of creation is based on experimenting and improvisation with sounds, different musical instruments, like drone, Theremin, synth, etc. Their existence was sealed in June this year on a one day festival of electronic and experimental music, Synaptic Chill’n’Grill. Later on, they performed on Transforma festival, at Tovarna Rog, and in December, at the annual exhibition of the ČIPke initiative.
