Ana Čavić (SRB/GB): Seduction

The climbing performances of Ana Čavić are based on magic realism and poetry. This time, her stage are going to be the walls of Menza pri koritu (ACC Metelkova mesto). Her performance are puzzling as they literally merge politics of space with body politics, at the same time contemplating on intimacy and human response that goes beyond the merely physical, mental or emotional level. Seduction interrupts the audience’s reality, imbues it with a sense of magic, and questions their role as spectators of a seductive and seemingly dangerous play.

Ana Čavić (UK/SRB) is an interdisciplinary artist, currently residing in London where she graduated at the Slade School of Fine Arts (University College London). Her work has been included in many exhibitions and events, such as Bistrotheque (London, 2010), Leighton House Museum (2010), International Biennial of Contemporary Art Baku (2009) and Kvinnor för Fred (Stockholm, 2007).
