Musician and singer chra moves between experimental electronic music, minimal techno and melancholic pop. In her own words: ‘Low frequencies, Sound Effects, Logic, Ableton Live, sampler; like a road movie for the ears’. Under the stage name chra Christina Nemec has been performing and DJ-ing since the mid 90’s and is considered a legend of the Viennese queer music scene: she founded the Comfort Zone record label, which supports local musicians (such as Cherry Sunkist, Bonnie Li, Frau Herz and Alloy Alloy), has participated in amazing feminist queer projects (the band SV Damenkraft and the burlesque show Orlanding the Dominant, for which she wrote the script) and has played alongside giants like Lydia Lunch and Gustav (Eva Jantschitsch).
