QT, Magazine for Queer Theory and Culture

Dušan Maljković is the chief editor of QT Magazine which published its first issue in September 2010. The magazine is released three times per year; so far, three double issues have been published. The magazine is published by Gayten-LGBT – Centar za promociju prava seksualnih manjina (Gayten-LGBT – Centre for the Promotion of Right of Sexual Minorities) from Belgrade, with the financial support of Serbian Open Society Institute. The first thematic issue The Nature of Desire and Transgressive Society includes translations of Jean-Paul Sartre, Roland Barthes, Felix Guattari, Michel Foucault, Pierre Bourdieu, Gianni Vattimo, Judith Butler and other theorists. Newer issues also feature works by local authors.

Dušan Maljković (1975) is a philosopher, gay activist, translator and journalist (NiN, Radio Beograd 3). He is the former editor of the publication Homoerotske edicije (Homoerotic Editions), former editor of Gay Serbia website and co-author of Gayming radio show broadcasted on Radio Beograd 202. The show has received the Heimdal Award given by the Scandinavian organization of gay and lesbian cultural workers Tupilak for an outstanding contribution to the development of mass media on homosexuality.
