Žen, Leifert (Croatia)

The dynamic trio Žen consists of former members of the Zagreb-based band Ž/buka, which has played in Slovenia many times in the past. In 2008, the trio released their first demo, followed by the EP, Nešto ispred tebe, a year later. Singer and guitar player Eva Badanjak, bass player Ivona Ivković and Sara Ercegović (percussion, keyboard, vocals) will take us to their dreamy world of post-rock, spiced up with a fair measure of psychedelic sounds.

Duo Leifert evolved from the Rijeka-based group Larve, which, due to its outlandish shows – verging on performances – and flirtation with the Rijeka new wave aesthetics, quickly conquered big stages; among other shows, they played at Kino Šiška as the opening act for Let 3. In their new project Leifert, Petra Baričević (bass, vocals, matrix) and Vida Fućak (keyboards) continue to cultivate their poetic and almost mystical electronic sound, reminiscent of the 80’s. They say other musicians and poets inspire them as much as their own unusual experiences. In collaboration with Bojan Bajić, they recently shot a video for the song Žena u godinama.
