You are kindly invited to the Feminist Tour of Ljubljana lead by Jasmina Jerant on Thursday, 8th of March at 2 p.m., that will begin at Stari trg 34.

In collaboration with the Institute for Urban Cultures we invite you to the feminist tour of Ljubljana that will unveil the stories of artists, cultural workers, architects, political leaders, activists, teachers, nuns, members of Women’s Anti-Fascist Front, humanists and natural scientists, women’s rights workers, national awakeners and many other renowned women that marked the capital city and region, but are unfortunately mostly forgotten today.

The walk will go along the centre of Ljubljana, passing buildings, squares, streets, (rare) monuments and memorial sites and will offer a special, a queer and non-binary spiced sightseeing of the capital city. We will look back to the former struggles for women’s rights, as well as today’s gender issues in Slovenian society.

INFORMATION

The tour will last for approximately two hours and will conclude at the City Hall. The tour is free, but we are kindly asking our visitors for voluntary contributions that should reflect the quality of the guided tour.
