“How can you make interesting and at the same time informative shots for a (news) video report?”

The Video reporting workshop will be held during the Red Dawns festival. The aim of the workshop is mainly to learn the basics of recording and editing for the purposes of short reportage or documentary video. We will start with the basics of filmmaking, then specialize on news reportage and finish with making a reportage about the Red Dawns festival.

Participants are requested to bring their own camcorders or cameras which they will use to shoot the festivals afternoon / evening events (from five p.m. on – by agreement) at Red Dawns. When recording they will receive tips and advices from specialised mentors Marion Trotte and Eva Matarranz. On Saturday and Sunday the workshop participants will learn the basic information about video editing. For this purpose three computers will be available. If the participants want to use their personal computers for editing they are of course also welcome to do so.

The first meeting with the participants will be on Wednesday from 16:00 to 18:00 in the Mizzart. Editing of the shot material will be on Saturday (10:00 – 14:00) and Sunday (10:00 – 18:00)  in Stara elektrarna.

The cost of the workshop is 10€ and the number of participants is limited (8). Language: English.
