Queer-Feminist Co-Writing Session with Tony Lashden

Join us for a queer-feminist co-writing session as part of the International Feminist and Queer Festival Red Dawns! This horizontal, welcoming space is open to everyone — whether you’re an experienced writer or just curious to explore language in a new way.

Facilitated by Tony Lasheden (they/them), a queer-feminist writer and activist from Belarus, the session will offer playful prompts, creative exercises, and fresh approaches to working with text. You can come with a blank page or bring a piece you’re already writing — either way, you’ll have a chance to experiment and discover new dimensions in your work.

No prior writing experience is needed — just bring yourself, and let’s create together!

Tony about the session:

“One-hour co-writing session focused on feminist and queer writing, suitable both for beginners and those already experienced in writing. We will try out a couple of exercises for stimulating creative process and will apply two editing techniques of working with poetic and prosaic texts. As a result, participants will create small texts, and those who want will have a possibility to perform for the group.”
