Come and play and learn how to create you very own dildo, or give a personalized gift to someone you love. Bring fabric, rope, tube, stick, or whatever else you fancy. The DIY Sextoys project is where handycrafts, hacking, recycling and sexuality meet to have a good time.

Handcrafts have always accompanied female creation yet they were often undervalued and awarded with no recognition. Nowadays, these skills suffer a double rejection: on the consumption side because of mass production and brand-name culture; on the production side because traditional female labors are associated with the image of the non-liberated woman.

The workshop provides an alternative model for today’s boring consumer society and fights technophobia, sexual prejudice, and craftophobia. Its aim is to empower participants through creative recycling, recuperation and renovation of traditional female labors and their ability to transform, fix and reuse old materials.
