An improvised meeting of vocalist and dancer Irena Tomažin & Liz Allbee on trumpet and electronics.

Liz Allbee’s work spans many genres including improvisation, new music, electronic composition, noise, weird pop, minimalist/maximalist brawls, kind-of-free-jazz and experimental rock. She has played with a wide array of musicians, including Anthony Braxton, Wadada Leo Smith, Hans Grusel, Gino Robair, Birgit Uhler, Fabrizio Spera, George Cremaschi, Yugen Noh Theater, SFSound, and with members of Caroliner, Sun City Girls, and Rova Saxophone Quartet.

Irena Tomažin is a choreographer, dancer, actress, performance artist and philosophy graduate. In 2001, she created her first solo piece Hitchcock’s Metamorphoses. Her 2005 sound performance Kaprica was remade as (S)pozaba caprice in 2006 when both performances won the Zlata ptica (Golden Bird) award. In 2008, she continued her exploration of movement and voice in performances ”Kot kaplja dežja v usta molka” and ”Splet okoliščin”. She has been collaborating with other musicians and regularly performs solo under the name iT.
