Movie night and banner making

Voluntary contribution, please bring materials for banner making

Saturday evening will be dedicated to collectively produce slogan banners which will be used in the March 8, 2020 protest against violence against women. 

We suggest that participants bring textiles, paper, paints and everything else needed to produce protest banners, to the event.

The collectives of Red Dawns and Jalla Jalla will enrich the evening with a movie night dedicated to activist documentaries.

In 2008, the Hungarian Labrisz Lesbian Association started a lesbian herstory project, interviewing  lesbians above 45 years old in order to create the basis of an archive and an edited volume comprised by the archive. “Secret Years”, a documentary based on 11 interviews was shown in the 2009 LIFT Festival. A volume of interviews with a similar title was published in 2011 with 16 lesbian life herstories.
