Exhibition The Dawn Is Pink for the First Time, Variations of the Festival’s Poster: Nevena Aleksovski (SRB, SI)

Nevena Aleksovski, the author of the 17th Red Dawns Festival’s graphic design, will present another interpretation of this year’s festival image in an exhibition at the Night Window Display Gallery Pešak. The various details in the shape of beings, images and people will separate from the festival image to begin a free, independent life of their own. During the day, but even more so in the evening, they will lurk at passers-by, delight them, and offer them material for further contemplation about singular works constituting the whole, about the individuals who form the collective, about one and all, their interweaving and unravelling.

The exhibition will open on 4 March 2016 without an official opening.

Nevena Aleksovski (1984) has graduated from Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje in 2008. In 2014, she completed her master’s degree in Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Social Studies in Ljubljana. Through her work, she researches personal intimate worlds and identity issues.
