Razor Cunts are a music duo from Berlin, which makes distorted melodies of queer feminism with the help of cello. If riot grrrl in the nineties mainly consisted of punk bands of the typical instrumental rock formation, this does not apply to Razor Cunts. Here we can find two cellos, drums and a tambourine. Razor Cunts have revealed their secret music recipe: Add The Raincoats, Lydia Lunch, Miranda July, Bikini Kill, Yoko Ono, X Ray Spex, ESG and Mary Poppins and mix in a blender for roughly 25–30 years. Then spice with cellos and stripes and dirty words and drums and distortion and love. Voila! You’ve been Razor Cunted. Their debut EP Chickmeat (2015) contains songs about menstruation, Jupiter’s moons and making out with Frida Kahlo.
