Performance – Eva Mlinarič (SLO): Dots

The product of violent moulding into femininity, into rigid construct of gender. Uterus is a space for exploiting the body, the brutal invasion of capitalism into the tissue. The word ‘woman’ becomes just an excuse of ascribing functions to the body. The menstruating body flushes this possibility. It is marked as impure when bleeding, because it bleeds the fractured nest of a potential embryo – the new consumer, new working force. Infertile sow. It shows the blood of a resisting body that will not be a container for reproduction. It is used as paint, its meaning is transformed from impure waste to a precious pigment, from the product of destruction into the means for creation. Resistant red dots arise on a white surface of false purity, there are more with each tiny scream.
